Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matt 5:16)
Life Made Radiant came out of the vision to bring together the talents, careers, and gifting of my husband and me. I worked in fashion retail for 8 years and I’m now in sales with American Solutions for Business, where I provide marketing, print, and promotional products on a business to business level. My husband Josh is a graphic and web designer with his own business, Road Map Media Design. Although, I love working on a business to business level I was missing the customer interaction like what I had in retail. Then there’s the fact that both my husband and I are working on developing our own businesses. We needed to find something that would bring us together. Unlike some couples, Josh and I love working together. Life Made Radiant is not the first business or job we’ve shared. We truly cherish our time together.
Besides loving clothes that are stylish and comfortable. I was never able to find what I wanted in statement tees. Either the color was wrong, the saying was not quite right, or I couldn’t get my size. With LMR I plan to change all that. Each design will be able to go on any product in the e-store and you can pick your style, color, and size. I am trying to supply a large range of styles and sizes (XS to 4XL). Although we are starting with ladies apparel, we plan to grow into youth and men’s as well.
Life Made Radiant is not just about apparel, it’s about a community coming together to encourage, inspire, and testify God’s greatness in our lives. The monthly blog posts are written by different women with different unique lives and relationships with Christ. I’m really looking forward to reading what they have to share.
Proverbs 31:26 “When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.” They say actions speak louder than words. My thought is, why not use words while we are living out life in our daily actions. Dropping kids off at school, going to the post office, working out at the gym, we go everywhere all day. On a simple t-shirt saying “Jesus Loves” with a smile might be the small fraction of hope the person across the room needs. Or personally having a bad day looking down in despair and reading “Faith can move mountains” might encourage you to look up to pray.
2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
Proverbs 12:25 NLT
25 Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up
Matthew 6:25 NLT
25 That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
Proverbs 31:25-26 is the foundation of Life Made Radiant:
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity.”
Let’s face it, what I wear effects my mood a lot. For me, to wear a comfortable garment that includes a quote from scripture or reminds me to praise the Lord is going to impact my day in a big way and hopefully will do the same for others.
“Without fear of the future”
As a mom I worry about my kids; as a business owner I worry about my income; as a daughter I worry about my parents, but God wants us to live without fear.
